OnMyWay Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 So, I did my first extension today. I went to the Santa Rosa (Laguna) BOI office and it was fairly painless. I didn't know that you need copies of your pertinent passport pages so my GF had to run over to the mall to get copies. It is a small office and there were not too many people there. The staff were nice and after I filled out the form and turned it in with the copies, I think it took only about 45 minutes or so. The cost was exactly as stated on the web site, p3030.
luke Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Just a trivial remark: BI : Bureau of Immigration (as mentioned in the BI website http://www.immigration.gov.ph) BOI : Board Of Investments (as mentioned on the BOI website http://www.boi.gov.ph)

Not sure when and where I picked up the wrong acronym!
BrettGC Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Quick question guys: Does it matter what the date of your forwarding/return throw away ticket is? Does it have to be within the bounds of the initial 21 days and you tell them you'll change it or it doesn't matter?
Dave Hounddriver Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Its not exactly a quick question. The answer is: Your mileage may vary. It depends whether you get an officious type entry officer who interprets the rule that way. Most will be happy if you have ANY exit ticket. I have been unlucky enough to find one who wanted it within 21 days. MUCH less chance of hassle if you do that; but if you have a ticket you are going to use any time within a year then that will 'probably' be good enough. Roll the dice!
