HI guys..we are still working on how to send stuff from Ohio to Philippines .So far so good. We are not making any commitment yet until we come up with a practical quotation.

So, I hope you can give me a good idea on how to transport a dog from Ohio to Philippines. I know that we have to coordinate first with the local agency here who controls and manages transport of animals into the country. We are aware too that the dog has to be quarantined . Is it really safe for the poor dog  to go through19hours of flight. But I just want to hear from you , some info that could help us facilitate processing of documents.

Thank you hope you all having a great day.

Can i ask what kind of PET he/she is?

a Service dog? rare breed? house pet? or mostly outside dog?

what is the age?....

what area or neighborhood will he/she live or be going to?

I ask these questions as it may not be worth the possible trouble..

I had a beautiful Chinchilla cat that I had to find a new home for because I knew she would not survive the flight... She barely survived the vacuum for 5 minutes at a time! OK, do it does sound funny but the noise stressed her out to excessive levels. So to subject her to that for hours on end - sedated or not- would have been to much for her. Something to consider...

Sent by using a very long piece of string, a couple tin cans, 2 gaseous monkeys, Tapatalk and my Nexus 4

Diamond is a puggle..not really a rare breed but he means so much for us. We would save money just to send him here to live in cavite but I worry more about the flight or will he be able to cope with it. Thank you for all your advices but I do hope it's still very possible, healthwise, to send him here. It would break our heart to just give him away just because my partner has to relocate here. He is 8 years old and has protected Pat for so long and we just want him to spend his remaining years with us.

We have a 130 pound Dog (Mastiff) that we are considering taking with us when we move from the USA to Sta. Rosa. He is 1 year old and 140 pounds.

I am not worried about the paperwork - I am worried about the long flight and its impact on him.

Is there a better carrier or service that specializes in making sure that the dog is eating and drinking and surviving the flight ok?

What is the difference between using a "Pet Travel Service" and just having the airline ship him as cargo? (I realize that not all airlines will do it and have rules).
