Hi guys, my work has given me the task for a major recruitment drive to staff the ambulance transport department in the UAE. I am looking for aprox 80 nurses or paramedics.

At the moment I am just collecting names and contact details, as this contract will depend on if I can find 80 staff in the Cebu area that are interested.

The staff don't have to live in Cebu, however, if this contract goes ahead, all training will be conducted at ERUF headquarters.

All staff will need to be trained to Australian Cert III in Ambulance Operations, so if this contract goes through I will be bringing additinal staff to Cebu to conduct the training.

If you guys know of anyone interested, please forward me their names.

Cheers,

The recruitment of Filipino workers for deployment overseas requires working through a recruitment agency licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Authority (POEA). Otherwise, you can be accused or even arrested for engaging in an illegal operation.

Unbelievable amount of bureaucratic paperwork involved. My suggestion is to transfer the primary contract to a licensed recruitment agency. Your involvement is training programs and certification of the nurses and emergency medical staff.

According to a BBC News story, there are 200,000 registered nurses in the Philippines who are unemployed or underemployed. The nursing schools are graduating an additional 90,000 nurses a year. Once word gets out, you should get 10,000 to 20,000 applicants.
