Dang Kevin,

You should know by now that leaving the house when you're in heat will definitely attract any wild beasts.

Watch out for those baklas too -- especially when they are foaming at the mouth.....he, he.

And remember, you can't really walk a straight line anywhere in PI -- you are constantly avoiding fresh

droppings, potholes and missing manhole covers.  For the newer members, always bring a small flash-

light to guide you through the gauntlet.

Yours truly -- Jake in heat......post-686-0-31077500-1408982509_thumb.jpg

My wife and I haven't spent any time in the city but Dalaguete Beach Park is our favorite beach to have a picnic and go swimming. There are always 8 to 10 dogs there trying to get us to feed them. Some look like they are diseased. I don't mind giving them left overs but they get so close and fighting each other that they could accidentally bite someone. A couple of years ago I took my stun gun to the park and sparked it when a dog got close. He ran away and didn't come back. Now I always take one or two stun guns to the park. Be sure the dog is looking and close when you press the button. There's something about the flash of light and the sound that scares the hell out of them. Its the best dog repellent I have ever seen.

This could be dangerous, especially to kids. Experienced this problem in Dumaguete area years ago, eventually the DA dept. poisoned the lot of them. One of the local teachers complained.

Usually you can stamp your feet and HISSSS at dogs and they will scatter. Not so with the ones at Dalaguete Beach. They don't back up an inch and why should they? They live there, we're the intruders.

I got a rabies vaccine last year, it does not keep them from biting though.  You may need to bring a decoy like Jake to distract the beasts

You know Gerald, you and I need to get together well beyond happy hour and see which one of us gets in trouble

with our wife first.....he, he.  I like the way think.  Getting yourself vaccinated is a very wise decision, especially for

young children of your family (extended).

It really doesn't matter if they are on a lease or behind a wall, if that dog gets loose and starts charging me or my

family.....he's gonna be dog meat.

Just sayin'.......

Its legal for foreigners to carry a stun gun and pepper spray so I think its a good idea to carry both.  I already have a few stun guns so I will be buying some pepper spray new.

In my wife's villliage when you walk past those Askals, they cower down as we walk by-seems they have been kicked or whatever a few too many times, so human= trouble for them. Stun guns for the aggressive ones-great idea Americano (I'll throw one in my BB box before heading over).

The more I think about it, although I am not a gun owner, the more I think that a stun gun would be a good idea when I move to PI. In addition to the dogs, it might keep the girls away too :)
