Popular Post Methersgate Posted October 22, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2014 I'll go with "pulchritudinous", but the word I actually used when I first saw her was "gorgeous". She is the best looking woman I have ever seen in the flesh, as opposed to on television, in the cinema or in the pages of a magazine or on an advertisement hoarding. If I tell her so, she just replies "I know; my mother told me!"
Forum Support Mike J Posted October 23, 2014 Forum Support Posted October 23, 2014 Life is wonderful when your wife is both the love of your life AND your best friend. I am reminded of an old saying that "The good times are made twice as good when shared, and the bad times are only half so bad." That is what I experience with my asawa, especially now that we live here in the Philippines.
Larry45 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 "pulchritudinous" thanks! I'm looking forward to fitting that into a sentence tonight at the local eatery. As for wife..."blessing". No ex-wives, but previous gf's...."curse". Being a determinist, those aren't accurate terms, but my wife sure likes hearing them :)
Kuya John Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 "Pulchritudinous" Well that's a first, can't think of anyone I know who could tell me what it means ! I must of led a sheltered life, but remember a phrase an old friend use to say to me many years ago. "When you first meet them, you could eat them, after you marry them, you wish you had" :mocking:
jpbago Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Much of their attractiveness is the fact that they are attracted to you, for whatever reasons. If they would not blink an eye at you, you would find some other culture that would and that one would then be attractive in your eyes. A bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush.
