I thought the same.  But considering he is 74 and the average lifespan is 78, maybe it will be just long enough.  :thumbsup:

A pensioner was jailed for for four-and-a-half years for paying for children in the Philippines to be abused and filmed over a webcam.

Sick Bryan Stanley was branded a ‘serious risk to children’ by a judge who heard how the 74-year-old joined a depraved paedophile ring who watched the horrific online sex shows.

 

A fixer was paid to arrange the abuse which led to Stanley last year chatting on the web with an Asian mum as she performed a sex act upon her 14-year-old daughter.

Stanley, from Birkenhead, Merseyside, then urged her to do the same to her six-year-old son.

The pervert will serve an extended three year period of licence as Judge Mark Brown, sitting at Liverpool Crown Court, told him: “It beggars belief that anybody can conduct themselves in such an appalling way.

“I have no doubt that the general public will be horrified to learn of your conduct.

“It was exploitation of the worst kind. People living in the Philippines, living in poverty and in very difficult circumstances, are extremely vulnerable to this kind of exploitative behaviour.

 

“You took advantage of that fact.”

Stanley’s computer was traced by police last year before cops discovered 292 indecent images of young children, along with chat logs from from his webcam abuse sessions.

 

n one, he told a 14-year-old girl that she was ‘very beautiful’ and asked if she had a boyfriend.

Judge Brown said: “I accept that the system was already up-and-running and you didn’t create the environment in which the individual was being paid for putting on the sex shows.

“Nonetheless, you joined in - initially paying to watch adults having sex and then it clearly developed to wanting to watch adults sexually abuse children.

“You continue to deny having a sexual interest in children. That’s clearly not correct.

 

"I’m entirely satisfied that you do have a very keen interest in the abuse of children and you can only properly be described as a paedophile.”

Stanley, who admitted eight counts of possession of indecent images and two of arranging or facilitating sexual activity with a child, left his own adult children ‘distraught and disgusted’ by his behaviour, the court was told.

Chris Williams, defending, said his client had shown ‘real remorse and shame.’

 

He said: “Mr Stanley sums up his behaviour in a letter to your honour when he says: ‘What I did was vile and disgusting'.

“No-one can really argue with that.”

As it takes time to get to court this could have been from the raids a few months or so back where the whole neighborhood were abusing children for profit. That story is posted here somewhere.

This was in the daily mail newspaper in the UK so it seems these sort of crimes happen here also.

Daniel Perry, 17, from Fife, took his own life in July last year after a Filipino cybersex gang threatened to send compromising images of him to his family and friends unless he paid them. He was encouraged into a sexual encounter via webcam before the sick criminals threatened to make the video public. They then sent chilling 'sextortion' emails saying: 'I will make you suffer.' The 17-year-old begged them not to release the video footage but detectives claim the suspects replied: 'Commit suicide now.' An investigation has traced two of the men suspected of being directly involved in Mr Perry's death, but both have denied any wrongdoing.
