I have never heard any local here in my Area ever use the term "K"

Although he is not a local, Methersgate uses "K" all the time when he refers to a local.

Filipino languages contain many Spanish words however I have never heard of anybody using mil here to mean thousand.
I HOPE I have never heared it     because many Filipinos MIX languages often, and it would be very CONFUSING if they sometimes mean the Spanish and sometimes mean shorted English.  (I BELIEVE they ment the later, when they have said it to me, because they have (mainly) spoken English then, because they know I'm very bad at Tagalog and Cebuano  :)
