O -Ve Needed In Tagaytay

An American friend called Jim Archibald has had a motorbike accident and is in Tagaytay Unihealth hospital. He needs O -ve blood.

Well the operation is done, so no need for blood now.

They located some at P7000 a bag. In the end it wasn't used.

I wonder if it is worth people with these rare types "banking" it.

When I asked at SUMC they told me they only have the facilities to store the blood for 30 days so it is not possible to store my own blood.  But other hospitals may be different.

Hi there just read your message, P7000 a bag seems a bit steep!! we pay P2000 from the red cross hospital in Santa cruz for the Mothers blood but it could be the blood type that makes it expensive !!
