Seems to be quite a bit of this sort of stuff in Thailand lately.

CCTV cameras have captured a brutal attack on a family of British holidaymakers in Thailand.

The couple and their son were celebrating the Thai New Year in the popular tourist province of Hua Hin when a brawl erupted.

The family was knocked unconscious, with the woman punched in the face, before being kicked in the head as she attempted to pick herself up from the street.

According to a witness calling himself the usual suspect on the Hua Hin online forum, the attackers were a gang of Thai youths, looking for trouble.

“Small groups were scattered at various places, all with the intention of attacking tourists,” he wrote.

“Within 20-30 metres of leaving the bar the Thais were punching the 65-year-old old lady in the face!

“At this point I caught up to the scene and pushed one of the youths away from the woman.

“I got severely punched and kicked for my troubles.”

The man claims he was the only person who attempted to intervene and he subsequently requires dental surgery, while the British family remain in hospital.

In the footage, a Thai woman can also be seen attempting to protect the man as he intervenes, before she is caught in the crossfire.

As the gang move away, locals rush to the family’s aid as they lie unconscious in the street.

Thai Police have two suspects in custody following the attack, and are attempting to find another two men, Thai Visa News reported.

I came across this a while ago and was going to respond to it.  It is a brutal and cowardly attack on the British tourists. Nothing can justify this kind of assault on old people especially an old woman. It looks like 2 lay unconscious  after the beating.

I don't recall ever hearing of this in the Philippines.
