Mr. Bobo Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I a nutshell Windows 10 sucks. I have 2 Laptops, one with Windows 8 and one with Windows 10 that I bought as a family computer. The windows 10 laptop came with Windows 10 on it, it was not upgraded from Windows 8. You would expect with a pre-installed Windows 10 you would have no problems. Wrong! I wanted to create 2 new user accounts one for my wife and one for my daughter. This should be a no brainer, just open the Control Panel and go to User Accounts and create the requisite accounts. Well I was unable to add a user account using the User Accounts panels. I was an IT professional for 40 years and know my way around computers. I ended up spending all day figuring out to how to add a user account using the Windows Command Prompt and using line commands, real messy stuff. It was a pain in the ass. Even now when I click on the icon on the Windows 10 laptop to establish a WiFi connection it sometimes takes 5 minutes for the available SSIDs to be displayed. It should take nanoseconds. Microsoft can stick Windows 10 "where the sun don't shine" as far as I am concerned. I will continue to use my Windows 8 laptop. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

OnMyWay Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 I "upgraded" back to Windows 7 and it was quick and painless. I have read that you might have to reinstall some programs but so far not the case for me. " This is a free tool that can remove and disable the 'Get Windows 10' notification area icon on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Recent versions can also disable 'Upgrade to Windows 10' behavior in the Windows Update control panel and do much more. Well today i was watching youtube on my laptop and boom out of nowhere without any warning (i wasnt in full screen either) my laptop restarts. When it boots up i get this... It is easy to go back to 7 or 8 after it is finished or after you try if for a while. When you rollback, they have a short questionnaire on why you are going back, and one of the choices is "Some of my apps and drivers don't work" which is what I chose. I didn't turn them off, I picked the "let me choose which to install" option. I'm not sure how that impacts the Windows 10 Upgrade notifications, but I have not been asked to upgrade to 10 since I "upgraded" back to 7. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They know there are lots of problems. Good to know. I will try it abit, because 8.1 i was on was sh&t aswell. Might wipe and install windows 7. Tech could not fix and in the end reverted me to Windows 7, immediate success, so absolutely no doubt Windows 10 was the problem. Cost me 3000 bht to fix it.
