Fun way to embarrass young Filipinas

As the saying goes Mogo, "Youth is wasted on the young". Even though I never made it to the Philippines like  Jake I made to a lot of other "exotic" spots as a young man. And probably like Jake (now I am just guessing here Jake) I rarely got more than 3 blocks away from the gates of the port or base. That I remember anyway :hystery:.

At the prime of my young adult life, this young Filipino was the one who got embarrassed instead.  I was the young grass hoppa learning from the young and experienced Filipinas during my very first deployment.  An eye opener, to say the least.

I really didn't count the blocks or walking distance.  My landmarks were the street vendors selling mystery meat on the stick before crossing chit river into main gate of Subic Bay Naval Base.  How I staggered back to my ship and into my own rack was a navigational miracle.....he, he.

Exotic memories indeed.

I hope that's contagious... the young one sure needed some of that.

Just wish I had gone to the Philippines in my 20's, my mind boggles.

First visited at 25 years old. Stationed at Subic Bay at from the time that I was 28 years old until I was 32. Those four years were the best of my  20 years in the Navy.

The clap was a regular occurence, but was easily taken care of with a shot of Trobicin. San Mig was 35 cents in most bars. A derelict's paradise.
