Are My Posts, Comments, and Topics Appreciated?

A funny thing happened.  Not just once or twice, but a few times now.  I have had comments and messages from other members to ask if Their posts and comments and topics were really appreciated.

AHA!  You may have thought this was all about me.  I have had my moments where I wondered if people were interested in what I wrote, but many others have had similar thoughts.  Are you one of them?

Please do not stop contributing to this forum just because you feel underappreciated.  This goes out to all the members here. If your contributions are not welcome you will hear about it very quickly from JGF.  Other than that, even if you don't get a lot of likes and replies it definitely does not mean you are not appreciated.

Some of us come to this forum every day for the sole purpose of reading what YOU have to say.  Of course we add our own thoughts to keep the conversation going but I (for one) don't care what I wrote.  I care what YOU wrote.  So keep on contributing.

For the rest of us.  Don't be stingy with the likes button.  Let people know they are appreciated.  Add meaningful replies.  This does not mean to add replies like "I agree" of just an emoticon.  It means add your own thoughts to the topic to show the writer that you are interested in what he/she has to say.  If you are not interested then don't worry because people who do not feel involved in the community will soon fade away.

I appreciate all the contributions even if I do not respond to them and even if i do not enter a "LIKE". Sometimes it's just that I cannot relate and other times because I do not have a response.

Maybe,...or maybe not.  For me, Sometimes I check in and scan the topics several times a day.  There may be a few days I'm too busy to even check in.  Sometimes I may read a topic and reply,..if I have time and something to say.  On certain topics I need time to think it over and research before I insert one of my feet into my mouth.  So, at least for me it's not that the OP that is not interesting or appreciated. I do sometimes like to just set in the back, listen and learn.
