Did you try putting salt on it?  Strangely enough it makes the green mango taste a little bit sweet.

That and vinegar too.

No, but I have put salt on watermelon. It works, but I prefer the ripe mangoes.

I love tropical fruit. I envy people living in Mindanao being that it's called the "Fruit Basket of the Philippines". People there have access to many fruits that mostly only they experience.

My favorite fruit here is pomelo, Davao being the best place to get them. I love guavas and mangoes, passion fruit and papaya too.

Never tried mangostines or durian yet. Fruit markets in Davao must be fantastic to experience.

Curious to try HALO HALO one of these days. It sounds awful, but everyone who tries it says it's good.

I have tried HaloHalo a few times and dont see whats the rave about. Just sweet shaved ice, with beans and tastless pieces of jelly..

I love strawberries but the only ones I've found were he frozen ones at S & R. I blend them along with frozen peaches, bananas  and orange juice. ( no salt )

I think most of the strawberries produced in Philippines get consumed in the Manila area.  We had some nice, fresh ones that we bought at a supermarket in Alabang but I think I did not wash them well enough, (or I gorged on them too much), because I could not stray far from the CR for the remainder of the day.
