Pyramid construction

Just watching the construction of a pyramid in IT park. No crane required. Although hard to pick out in my photo several guys are manually raising a very heavy steel beam. Would not even be considered where I come from.

I am always amazed when I see someone using an arc welder.  Safety equipment consists of sunglasses and flipflops.  I have yet to see a welding helmet, safety shoes, gauntlets, or leather apron.  Labor and Industry officials in the USA would have an orgasm just as soon as they finished writing the employer a multi-thousand dollar fine! :9436:

I hear the old pyramids were built by much the same labor. Traditional building methods?

It is going to be a mausoleum for dictators like in Egypt. (maybe it should have been larger, it is not easy to add on)

I seem to recall reading recently that the workers on the Egyptian pyramids were not slaves but paid tradesmen. AFAICR at least part of their wages were paid in beer
