If you are truly a newbie, and your significantly older than your filipina, I would also recommend you think hard about the western social issues that are attached to this situation.  I wouldn't be able to do it.  If I found a much younger significant other in the philippines, I would opt to live there instead.  Culturally, it is more accepted.
