Why Bother Yourself With Internet Dating??

My title says it all.  Based on my experience, chances of finding the Filipina of your dreams on the internet are slim to none.  If you are serious, then at THE least, you should have is a plan to move to the Philippines and see for yourself, boots on the ground.  Then you will see the light, and agree with what I am trying to communicate here.  Nothing can beat the experience of actually being there in the markets, malls, restaurants, and local events.  

However, if you use the internet dating sites as a means of entertainment, only to past the time before you make your move here, then so be it.  But you shouldn't rely on it as your sole source for meeting your significant other.  If you are really serious, MAKE THE MOVE.

I never used the internet for dating.

I never liked blind dates that someone wanting to set me up with. That could be very awkward.

There is someone for everyone. You just have to do your homework and trust your instinct.

Many young people now prefer trial live in arrangements before going shopping for ring.

My first wife was a childhood sweetheart. God Bless Her. RIP

My Filipina and I casually dated for about a year. I call it a year long engagement but it's working.

My lady and I met via an Internet dating site. We have had a wonderful couple of years and both look forward to many more. I know that I am certainly not alone in finding my partner this way. There are many ways to meet people and all are relevant. To be dismissive about one route based on personal experience seems like sour grapes.

My Nephew met his wife on a US dating site. They have been married for 10+ years.

K-1 Visas to the US from the PI is about 8,500 per year. (Second most world wide is China at about 2,500). Almost all of these unions are the result of internet dating at the start. Through FB groups and those we know personally-there are countless couples so willing to share their lives as a happy Phil-AM couple. Where is there any evidence that these unions resulting in scams, etc. Common sense should weed out those who are potential scammers or players.

I met my SO on an internet dating site.  It is a matter of how you use it, whether it works or not.  We have been together 5 years.

I know a lot of people that have met their spouses online.  I met a friend online and she introduced me to a girl who later became my wife. So, while i did not meet my wife on a dating site, I did meet her online. 

Personally, I only ever used dating sites to line up "companions" for vacations...  but those days are long gone ha ha.
