Can't be too effective as I tried for research purposes and shows to me

Pornhub, Xvideos banned in Philippines, Pornhub’s biggest adult entertainment market

Only last week, the Pornhub Insights had revealed that Filipinos spent more time on Pornhub than any other nationality. And today there was bad news for Filipinos! The Philippines government has yanked of Pornhub, Xvideos, and other similar websites from last Saturday.

Filipino visitors to Pornhub and Xvideos are shown a blocked website with a message stating that the website has been blocked under the authority of Philippine Government pursuant to Republic Act 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Law.

:89: I wonder how long for? Until one of the Big Boys shout EH? I think it has upset our Barangay captain already from what I just heard at the Sari Sori:hystery:

This shocking that it would be allowed under this president's regime.   Are the news reports untrue that claimed:

" . . .Duterte had said he 'should have been first' in rape of Jacqueline Hamill by prison inmates. . . "

A man like that surely needs his porn!

What are the ramifications?  More "malibog" Filipino's out there resulting in more unwanted and unplanned pregnancies?

Not going to stop all the cam girls - possibly they'll even see an increase in their business. More girls exploited - way to go Phil gov!

The "big boys", as Jack put it, will just use a VPN to get around it.

This was my thought as well. A good thing if it would reduce webcam abuse.

Sites like Porn Hub are big and can blocked by governments.

As they shut down or block one cam girl site, 2 more pop up. And that doesn't include all the private shows via skype, viber, etc.

I know police in Cebu have tried to shut many down, but they barely scratched the surface of it. It's a nearly impossible task. Registering SIM cards might help some (and that's likely coming there), but with so many unregistered users it would take years to make any impact. Besides, even in countries where you have to register your SIM it's easy to get around that - simply pay someone off or pay someone else to get it.

Unfortunately, as long as there's a demand there will always be a supply.
