Fork and spoon versus knife

I notice the same thing when out at almost all restaurants. Maybe business owners and even the customers don't trust themselves with sharp object. I can think of no logical reason for not having knives served; especially when the meal requires one to cut the meat or other items.

My spoon cuts the fried eggs just fine...the chicken is a bit more of a challenge but that's what hands and teeth are for!

Truly a mystery. I've stopped setting knives at our table, as I'm usually the only one to use one. More thoughts here:
