I sent an email to that address last week (23 February) about my passport renewal and I got a call the next day. They had my new passport and I received it yesterday, COD by Air21)

Strange that I am not getting a response.

Perhaps Judy and I are being a little paranoid about the current re-entry/immigration policy that may be subject to change, depending on the mood he's in.  One of these days, some illegals from Mars will piss him off and he would tweet out a new immigration ban(s).

Oh well, we will cross the bridge when we get there.......

Jake, turn off CNN, NBC, etc.  Life will be calmer if they are not telling you that he is the anti-christ all day long.

I find that emails get a slow or no response here. Try texting or Facebook.

No, in the past, the U.S. Embassy has been the exception to that rule and they commit to responding within three days.  AlwaysRt didn't have a problem so that is why I am puzzled.

When you send them an e-mail, you get this automated response (I just noticed they have 2 other phone numbers at the bottom of the e-mail):

If your inquiry pertains to matters concerning the American Citizens Services, such as U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, notarials, legal capacity to marry and emergency situations of U.S. citizens in the Philippines, you will receive a reply within three to five (3-5) business days.

However, you will not receive a response from this address if your concern pertains to visa issues and matters concerning the Social Security Administration (SSA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Joint U.S. Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG). Please consult the following websites or contact information to obtain answers to your queries:

Well just to make the puzzle more confusing, I recieved no email response at all. Not from a person not even autoresponder. When she called me the next day, at the end of the call she asked if I wanted an email response also. I said no, the phone call was great. (and she did what she said she would do, perfect service for me)

OK, good news.  I called at 1 pm (02 301-2532) and got through first time.  She said the CRBA and passport were approved on Feb. 13, and delivery should be in 4-5 weeks from that date.

So it would appear that they are backlogged in the approval process.  Around 12 weeks until approval and my was fairly straightforward.

Not sure if it will work in your case and doesn't give a ton of info but you may be able to check passport status here (or might be for renewals only, I don't know) https://pptform.state.gov/?submit=COMPLETE+FORM+DS-82+Online

It requires a SS# which my daughter does not have yet, so no go.  Thanks though, good to know.
