I am not sure they do now.When we lived in Cebu city we had a Metrobank account.One day we were at Ayala and tried to get some money out but the ATM didn`t work,so we went across the road and that one didn`t work either.We went inside and said that we needed some money and were told we had to go to our own branch,which was a long way away,so they did it after I told them they must.It was around this time,after I told my friend the story,that I was told they are franchised.

Metrobank are a strange outfit.  Unless they have changed a lot, they charge you 50 pesos to make a deposit or withdrawal at a branch other than where the account is at.  I can understand why they charge to make a withdrawal as they used to have to make a phone call to confirm that the other branch will hold the money.  But a deposit?  I never could figure out why.
