How would it be if a globe was used? Is the earth flat or not?

Only if you are way behind the times.

Globes are actually incorrect.  It is a fallacy that the world is round.  Now ya see, if you were teaching that you would be perpetuating the fallacy.  Read this article first and then you may understand:

YEP! Happiness is Egg shaped and we should  all go to work on an egg, Cos the old ITV Adverts said so

But seriously, I have a book here that anyone can borrow called "THE FLAT EARTH" that will surprise many in that, the Arguments over this have been going on for So Many years it makes you wonder if there may be some Truth in it

But to me, a map on the Table is FLAT

OK,OK, I know back to normal Service,

hmmm, I propose that a globe is correct as the 'imperfections' cannot be seen on a tabletop globe due to the scale being such that the differences are less than the thickness of the ink used to draw on it.

*note* I actually have no idea but it sounds good.

Why not tell the students that the earth is not round and that the distance to the center of the Earth from the equator is 3,963 miles and the distance to the center of the Earth from the poles is only 3,949 miles for a difference of 13 miles?

But given the world's Circumference JP, 13 miles is chicken feed surely, not enough to totally support the World is not Round, Is it?
