I didn't know any people who did but I'm sure some people just live a nocturnal existence.

I prefer the "mall existence" and home,, occasionally Paradise Island, like once a month.

Outside my home here I have ceiling fans and lights to play dominoes and board games and some socialising with the neighbours.

Aah the Philippines and the heat, even when its pouring down its still hot!

But whats better than sitting back in my rocking chair overlooking the bay

Drinking a nice ice cold beer ! Never again having to go to work at 6.30am

On a cold frosty morning , or having to walk through snow up to my knees.

I feel sorry for those back in the UK🍺

Now THAT'S What I'm talkin' 'bout !   Can't wait for My time to be My time and that of my Asawa and son.

It was 105 degrees F at 9:30 at night in Vegas this past weekend.

115 during the day.

Now that's pretty damned hot.

I like the desert but would not like to live there. We used to go riding the sand dunes there. We've been camping at  Big Rocks, visited Hidden Valley and the old silver town  of Calico. Then there's the Arizona Desert which has its own beauty. We camped out at the top of The Grand Canyon among the pines with the Colorado River a mile below us.

Be it hot weather or cold, it's one thing if your playing and quite different if you've got to work in it.

I despise working and driving in the cold weather (think ice and snow, not just cold temps), even though I enjoy winter sports. But I'll take the hot weather any day.

The last time I was in Phoenix (no I didn't take the train) crossing the street, after jumping from those concrete 40" things at the crosswalk, I starting walking across the road and discovered asphalt has a liquid state. This was after 9PM and the temperature had cooled to under 110 from the 118 it had been in the afternoon.  At about twenty feet the pavement went from 'sticky' to I lost my shoe, this caused hopping about on one foot as I recovered the loafer. I also learned why you should wear boots as well as the hat.  Boots are also useful for snakes and large insects when walking about.  I purchased a pair the next morning.

I dont mind the heat, but i hate the humidity. 30c in Philippines was much worse then 42c in Perth, Australia.

Funny you know, I came from Queensland where there is humidity and here does not bother me much but I belive Perth is a dry heat and scorching hot. Would prefer sweating it out rather than burning.
