AlwaysRt Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 The how old do you feel thread got me thinking and I sort of see a pattern of posting for me. On days I feel fine, I read and post mostly if I think I can be helpful. On days I have pains, I get silly and such, upping my post count possibly as a way to distract from not feeling well. On days I have bad pains, and days the internet is slow as molasses, I don't much bother with it. Another possible category is days you stay home because feeling too broke to pay attention. Popular Post Queenie O. Posted June 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) I check in at least once or even twice a day because I always like to see what's new with you all on the forum on any given day. I really enjoy the camaraderie here and often feel that you guys at times are the closest and a barometer of life's happenings here. How I feel on any given day doesn't really affect whether I post more or less, but I always like to read most everything that you all have to say. Sometimes if something comes up for me that I think others might relate to, I'll post it, or if I think I have something to contribute or say, I'll like, or make a comment. I just like the idea that you are all out there, and that you might understand, and have things to share that I can relate to. I'm also counting you guys that don't always post every day. I just like the thought that you might all be tuning in and are part of the group. Sorry to hear that you've been bothered with pain AlwaysRt. You usually light up the place with your comments. I enjoy them even if I do not respond to all of them. My wife reads the comments here from her computer. She says that sometimes she feels like pinching me for my comments. How I feel does not show in my comments. Sometimes, I just read the comments. I do not feel the need to respond to everything. Thanks Queen for being here and for your contributions.

Popular Post Kuya John Posted June 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 25, 2017 Not being a Facebook fanatic, I rely on you Guys n Gals, for the day to day stuff as Expats. Sometimes it pays to have on the ground news rather than relying on bias news sites. The members are a good bunch and then there's Jake No not really. This is a well balanced forum and interesting to learn from the members experiences. So give yourselves a round of applauds
Popular Post Snowy79 Posted June 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted June 25, 2017 I've got to admit as far a forums go this is the best. Friendly banter with plenty of sound information and fellow members who understand others feelings and experiences. I'm one of life's optimists and tend to see the positive in most things. If anything it's not my feelings that affects my posts it's the information in the posts that affect how I feel.

Also, even though I try to be optimistic most of the time, the forum is a great place to dump a rant when something is not right or something is frustrating. Even though it is an "almost anonymous", it is a great place to get some empathy when all is not well, and you need to get things back in perspective.
