Well I got a 6-month extension last month and although the form I fill in states "married" it doesn't say married to a Filipina. Nor was anybody interested to ask.

It is my opinion that there is a problem with the wording of who qualifies for the 6 month extension.  I have heard of others who were refused the 6 month after having the 2 month as the 6 month says you can get it  once you have completed your first 59 days and you can renew it for so long as you are not close to the three year mark.

I repeat, this is my opinion based on listening to stories in the coffee shops from others who have got the six month and from those who were denied it.

So has anyone here changed for the standard 2 month visa renewal to a 6 month renewal?  And if so at what office?
