I know a few members live in these areas so from my old Navy and Police Experience I would say to keep safe and vary your routines, modes of transport and always take a table in a restaurant where you can see the door. Correct Kev how ever Dumaguete is seriously lacking in foreigners and many perceive these warnings to be serious. A dive center has shut for a while in Dalaguete because a lot of Chinese visitors have stopped coming.Here in Dumaguete I have seen the number of visitors fall.
