Newbie introduction

Recommended Posts

Hello,

please, allow me to introduce ourselves:

I'm a naturalised German (ex-Philippino citizen), aged 68.

My German husband is 67.

We have lived in Thailand since retiring in 2012.

My husband's medical condition has made our move to the

Philippines necessary.

This is a lightning move.

We shall travel to the Philippines this Saturday.

My relatives live in Monte Lupa City & Cabanatuan City.

My husband will stay in the Philippines for good.

I shall return to Thailand to arrange the move of our household

to the Philippines.

On Thursday I shall post questions regarding the best visa choices.

As a balikbayan I believe I'm entitled to the SRRV Courtesy programme.

More on Thursday.

Hoping for your help & advice.

Kind regards,

Perla

Welcome also Perla, my wife and I made the same move just 3 months ago, so maybe I can help with any questions and happy to do so.

I remember we had a previous member who did that.  Most Philippine citizens who become citizens of another country are now allowed to regain their citizenship when they move back to Philippines but not all.   I only know the one example of someone who was not entitled to regain his Philippine citizenship and I don't know the details so I ask you:  Have you looked into dual citizenship?  IE:  regaining your Philippine citizenship?

Let's ask and answer questions in the correct forum.
