Issues with elderly relative in the Philippines – advice needed

thanks for all the info and advice everyone.

I've passed all the info over to my family and I'm just waiting for them to decide how they wanna play it.

at the minute we're trying to get the wife/gf to get him to contact us over the phone, we've told her if we don't we'll have to get the embassy involved which would result in him being sent home, hopefully this will force the issue.

If this doesn't work we'll have to figure out the next step.
