Shotgun Accident

James Deakin just posted this on his FB page:

"Just witnessed a security guard accidentally blow his leg off with his own shotgun. Total freak accident. But totally scary how random it was. Hope the guy made it. That was a lot of blood."

That is why I am also nervous around these guys and their guns.  I try to keep my kids far away.

So much for the "all the shotguns are empty" theory.

Who ever said that ? Just another myth?  Beats me why you would carry a shotgun and it to be unloaded.

It was a rumour started that suggested that the security guards had to buy their own ammunition.

Hope the poor guy lives. How many times do we see guards with their finger inside the trigger guard?

Took me a while to find it. I tried to post a link to the post but can't see how to do that now %^*#$%. Used to be easy. Go to page 2, 6 down:

PS. I think he's right, not always but some do have to buy their own. My BIL had to buy his own uniform, that's a fact.

WOW!  Reading through that thread @Gator said:

I often wonder if they would even fire, or worse, misfire and hurt the guards instead of the target

Looks like he called it right on.

I'd love to run a cleaning patch through some of the guns I see. But then, maybe now I wouldn't.

the little switch on the side of the gun.... oh the safety switch. That might save someone's life      :571b119686cf7_1(72):
