We have decided that we will furnish our apartments when they are ready to rent.I have seen some fridge/freezers which are made in Canada. The brand is Marke does anybody know if they are any good or should I stick to Panasonic.I have had a Panasonic for 5 years with no problems but the Marke has a bigger freezer compartment which I like. The price is not too bad either.Any input would be appreciated.

Not familiar with the brand after living in Canada for 50 years.  Your mileage may vary.

I thought of that but would rather have first hand info on it.Sometimes reviews can be biased.

I think Kev you may be talking about the "Marque" Brand made by Frigidaire

I got a water heater in my shower that says "Made in the UK" but somewhere in the fine print I remember reading that they only got one part from the UK and they thought that entitled them to use that slogan.  No truth in advertising here, BUT its not all lies so maybe its true.

Here is the Facebook "About" page for Markes appilances and it sure looks like a Philippine brand to me.  I strongly suggest that any reference to "A Canadian Brand" is just a story.  That does not mean they are not good, just lying.

My problem with a foreign brand especially from a cooler climate is that the level of insulation may not be suitable for a tropical climate.
