These things actually go on in the Phillippines? :hystery: :89: MANILA, Philippines—Twenty-seven female workers peddled for sexual services were rescued Thursday night in Biñan, Laguna, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr. said Friday. Operatives from the Women and Children Protection Division (WCPD) of the CIDG and members of Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking raided the Sir King John Leonardo KTV Bar and Galaxy Health Spa, both located at the Marni Building, in Canlalay, Biñan at around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Pagdilao said. Police Superintendent Emma Libunao, who led the raids, said the operation was made after residents in the area reported that minor females from Visayas and Mindanao employed as massage attendants and entertainers in the establishments were also being sold for sexual services.Seven suspects, including two floor managers, were arrested during the raids, Pagdilao said. Libunao said that the raid was in line with their chief’s directive to “hit hard on clubs engaged in rampant sex trade and exploitation of minors and women.”Link

So, if the sex worker is working for someone else, like a bar or massage parlor, she is 'rescued' but what if she is working alone? Can they save her from herself?

Come on, we all know too well that the word "rescued" probably isn't the correct description, because in this day in age I don't think females are forced into anything they don't want to do! Prostitution is just a lucrative profession due to the easy money that can be had in a short period of time and some of these women in the profession know that! It's just a PNP ploy to look good in the eyes of the public! The establishment will just move on to another location and it's business as usual all over again, but more discreet in their movements out in public! And again, here comes the PNP to the "Rescue"! Again and again and again! Like the days of old, of the "Keystone Cops" in silent films! Remember those?

Possible but the story says minors; so if its true that there were minors working then it appears that lately one should not be breaking the law as the authorities seem to be coming down hard on this which is rightly so.

Sex trade will never go away or be stopped by laws, Minors involved however can be controlled as the majority of the people will always want to hang those that abuse the children.
