you don't need to have a lawyer, all you need is a complete address where the property is located and the full name of the owner. then call the local assessors office. using a lawyer is not a discreet way of checking, not here in PI....
Thanks. I looked at the property last year with brokers and they had already bumped the price from P150 to P400 a square meter with the understanding that I could make, "Tawad." I told them the property was not suitable for my needs and stopped all communication. Still interested if I can get it at the P150 level. Need to investigate ownership, tax payments and whether or not I can get a T.C.T. I don't want someone to come later claiming ownership or squatter's rights.
