Been doing a lot of running around town organising things the last week or so and it seems everywhere i go i see young couples yelling abuse at eachother in the streets.I just came out of the Bundaberg Post Office this afternoon and here's a couple, probably in their early twenties sitting on a bench near the front door and they're screaming foul language at eachother. As i walked past, the girl gets up, starts doing this dance infront of her partner and says something like "Don't ya get it, i'm pregnant ya @#$%witt, i'm incharge here not you"Well, no i don't get it, seems to me the world's gone to hell. Here we are talking about some Filipinas being scammers......................geez i'm glad i'm not a young bloke in this age!

I agree with you... I don't get it either!I thought the "Me" Generation was a few years ago but now it's back and stronger than it was before!!! It's not "us" anymore in a relationship but "you will do what I tell you"! They don't just say this - they scream it! And that is from both sides! Of course it's not everybody in the younger generation but enough that it has become the norm to see and hear this... I just don't understand! It's like somebody took a "Stupid" pill... 1%20(103).gifThank gawd that my special someone is not even close to being like this...! And many Filipinas aren't! Maybe that is one of the reasons so many of us find them so special?

Hummm??? had this lady or her partner knew or had used Family planning(which seems to be lacking here) this "DANCE" :) would have never occurred.Seems wherever we live that there will always be some type of "public" display of disagreement.AT least and Thank heavens(not a direct reference to God or promoting religion)It was NOT a "white" or a "foreigner" who was on the receiving end  of this womans "public" display.Just think how things would have been for HIM.....and he would have not been able defend himself(verbally),as WE(non locals) have no rights and if we try to defend (verbally) ourselves against a RP woman,we could end up hurt or worse. :)

That is the problem... We do know what it is like... All of us have been through the trials and tribulations of being young and many of us still have the same issues as we did then! Now if you had said we didn't understand what it is like to be old - that I can understand! But being young? I don't know... Maybe I just belong to some (for lack of a better word) "elite" group who has never grown up. As recently as 7 years ago I have been on stage (just filling in) performing in bars for the youngest market and at concerts where the average age was in the teens... Jamming with people who are showing up on recordings aimed at the teen to 20s market... After my divorce (when I was just in my 40s) I dated much younger women... Not because I could but because I couldn't relate to a lot of women who were older. So I do relate quite easily to the 'younger' generation... And I still do not understand where the attitude of "I'm better than you" comes from... Is it easier to be in a relationship with somebody just because they were available? If you don't love each other? If you don't treat each other right? If you want to be the only one in control and to (heck) with your partner? What does that have to do with being young? Though the behaviour noted is most commonly seen in younger couples, I still see it in older couples as well! And it still isn't right! And PLEASE! I am not refering to anyone specific when I say 'you' - I am referring to those in my examples!

:hystery: :hystery: :hystery: :hystery: sonjack2847 ...... that made me laugh as that is exactly what I remember thinking when I was a kid and my grandparents didn't seem to see my way of doing things ...... I thought that exactly ....... "The problem with us young ones is nobody understands us, because you don`t know what it is like" ........ my daughter even told me that one time and I couldn't help but burst out laughing ..... she wanted to know why I laughed and I told her "one day you will understand" ...... years later I got a call from her saying "Dad I understand" ...... true story .... we both had a good laugh

As one youngster said....... You old people don't understand, you grew up in a world that was almost primitive, us youngsters have TV, jet travel, space travel, men on the moon, nuclear energy, cell phones, ultra fast computers and a whole host of other things. And one old geezer quietly replied........ You're right young man we did not have those things when we were born, so WE invented them...... now what are you going to do to improve the lives of the next generation?
