Well Mike S, looks like you just about covered all of it, both living in the States and local island habits.

I may have missed it but do you know that you ain't a Pinoy if you can't Joe Squat for hours on end.

Also the term tan-bys (stand by - loitering) is like the expats hanging out under the escalators...he haw.

 Cheers Mike, Hope it will not be like the old TV Commercial For "MARMITE" You either, Like it or you Don't, retirement is not optional is it. I have convinced my self , I WILL like it, like a nervous Breakdown or a Cool SMB, I worked for it, paid for it and I am going to have it :mocking: 378 days to go

You'll do just fine Jack .... from the look of those great pictures you posted you will have something to keep you busy if you want to .... plant a small garden if you want to ... raise a few chickens ..... lay out in a hammock under the trees and drink a few cold ones ...... having your own place definitely has advantages ..... we're kicking that around ..... looking at moving to west central Negros and doing just that ..... need to be careful though as I want to have funds for my asawa after I'm gone ..... she doesn't care ... but I do .... ...... but the living expenses will be lower than here in Cebu City ....
