Wow!! None of them close for Christmas, wonder if the employees get holoday pay, or are just told to come in & be thankful they have a job?

Perhaps this is the case.,,

have you ever been near a "job agency"? sometimes only a "few"postions are available but MANY are waiting to apply.

Does any one know of the GOVERNMENT Holidays?

If I remember correctly, I was told once that their holiday pay is time and a half. If so I must shake my head at their math. People staying home get full pay for taking the day off. People working get full pay plus half? It means they only get half pay for actually working on the holiday as they would get the rest even staying home.. Its more fun in the Philippines

You guys got me wondering so I looked it up - they get 2 times their pay for working Christmas. Here's a link that shows how Holiday Pay works for regular holidays and the so-called "Special Days" where they can get 130% of their pay for working or nothing if they are off work that day...

Today is considered the last banking day as Dec. 24, has been declared special holiday. Regular banking days resume on Dec. 26.

they get 2 times their pay for working Christmas.

Perhaps that is why none of them are employees, only contractors on a 6 month contract of employment. Good luck getting 2 times their pay and if they ask for it and get it . . good luck getting another 6 month contract.
