GregZ Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Well, the cheap seats are 1600. Looks about right. Remember tax is included. You want front row=5000 most places I think. ???
Papa Carl Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I agree, but starts to look like an expensive night out, if you are taking your special someone, along with meals, transport etc etc. Oh yes and not to forget the blind taxi drivers who are wearing coke bottle bottoms for glasses and constantly falling asleep while they are driving...., Oh yes and then there are the kids, or young girls holding a baby in their arms, or the people with deformities, or missing limbs, etc. etc. begging for money every time the taxi driver sees the red light and stops. (although I have been in many taxis in Manila, who don't even bother stopping for the red lights). (boy those blind beggars can really move when they have a white taxi coming at them!) And if you are driving, and it happens to be an owner jeep, don't forget that it must be painted on the sides of your vehicle if driving through Makati, and that you can only drive on certain days depending on the number on your car plates. So after paying for the event, the meal, the transport, the beggars on each corner, and the traffic police for not having the correct plates for the day you are driving, or God forbid the hospital bill from somewhere like Medical City because the taxi driver drove through a red light, while he was asleep, or forgot to wear his glasses.... it could end up costing you in the area of 100,000 K just to see some old wrinkly guys who don't look anything like you remembered them, once they were wheeled out on the stage. Just some light humor folks, please no hate mail! I like some of the Air Supply songs,... really I do! Well at least Ellie does anyway. earthdome Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The NBA is playing its first ever pre season game in the Philippines in Oct. Most tickets are very expensive. Ticket prices range from p550 to p32,300! http://sports.inquirer.net/102499/tickets-for-nba-pre-season-game-in-manila-go-on-sale-on-june-16
GregZ Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 ...it could end up costing you in the area of 100,000 K just to see some old wrinkly guys... Hahahahaha! All good humor is based in fact. Fact is that I have plenty of Air Supply recordings to listen to and I would rather spend 8,000 and take a group of 20 to the beach with a roasted pig and all the accessories that make it a good time. :cheersty:
Hotrod Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Hmmm... so maybe I shouldn' t have posted then this bit of information... = ??
Dave Hounddriver Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Hmmm... so maybe I shouldn' t have posted then this bit of information... = ?? Its good to know these things so if it is info for the group then Yes! Post away! Just for those who may be reading this and thinking they can advertise for profit here, No. If Hotrod was posting info related to a business that he (or his family and friends) was profiting from then our JollyGoodFellow would be having words. We are pretty good about being able to separate advertising from information. I would love to take my wife to see Air Supply. She is a fan. But it is not going to happen. (Distance and money = no go) But I am happy to read about it.
Papa Carl Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Hmmm... so maybe I shouldn' t have posted then this bit of information... = ?? No Hotrod, glad you posted this. We need people posting things like this more often. It was just my odd sense of humor, (part Canadian and part British), and the fact that it was early in the morning, so ....., got the giggles, (and hot sweats) thinking of driving through Manila again, or parking and taking a taxi part of the way. i am bob Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I wouldn't worry too much if you can't catch the show in Manila. Air Supply likes to play in the Philippines - including this little place that I have been told has nothing there... Still wouldn't mind living in Lutopan! Not the complete song but you get an idea just how much fun the guys were having! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bxsyb9muYjY
