Forum Support Popular Post Old55 Posted January 18, 2015 Forum Support Popular Post Posted January 18, 2015 This topic suggested by our latest ace, Robert. Filipino superstitions dealing with driving or travel. Clearly we are doing it all wrong. Have your car or scooter blessed. When eating is rushed, make sure that the plate used is turned around several times before leaving the dining table, so that the person won't get in an accident. It's a bad omen if you dream of riding in a boat. When picking a car, don’t choose red ones. Red cars are the most prone to car accidents. If you happen to get lost, invert your clothes and you'll find your way. One should not pay or give money through the window because it will make him poor. During Black Saturday, people should not go out or travel in order to avoid accidents. One should cover the mirror when there is lightning to avoid all misfortune. Place a statue of Sto. Niño or Jesus on your dash. If a loved one starts sneezing before a trip its a sign "something" will happen. If a month starts on a Friday, do not travel on that month, because it will be full of accidents. Why is it most taxi drivers have the plastic Jesus facing them and not watching the darn road ahead? That must be why there are so many collisions.

Dave Hounddriver Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) One should not pay or give money through the window because it will make him poor. Except when passing a funeral procession when it is good luck to open your window and throw coins at them. Also, One should remove all mirrors from their motorcycle because you will look cool. One should never look behind or behind themselves while driving because what you cannot see cannot harm you, (unless its a WakWak). Popular Post JJReyes Posted January 18, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2015 It is bad luck to buy and transport pork at night. Don't turn around a whole cooked fish on a dish. Your boat will capsize. Don't fart when driving a motorcycle because there is no way to contain the bad air.

Forum Support scott h Posted January 18, 2015 Forum Support Posted January 18, 2015 Once went to church at Antipolo, famous church north east of Manila, after mass thought they were having a car show, rows of new clean cars lined up with the hoods open (only time I have seen Filipino drivers park in an orderly fashion :hystery: ). They were there to be blessed naturally. :cheersty:

The owners dress their dogs and cats in cute costumes.
