By several, there was one other guy she had seen around the time we dated.  She saw him couple of times.

By Dating, we went out to movie, dinner, park etc.

After couple dates with me though never saw any one else.

I think unlike western culture we would "date" one person usually.  Perhaps was coincidence at the time she had two options......

I think in Western culture it is VERY common to date more than one person, at least that is what I have seen in Canada and the US.

In the days ofmy youth I worked in a law firm in the City of London and the partner whom I worked for drove a green Porsche 911 and was dating three airline hostesses - one had to be rather alert when answering his phone!

We see each other few times each week, she stays one night at weekend and sleeps in spare room.  Get a good night peck on the lips and same when drop her home.

I think she is being cautious and since she seems to have good moral standards might be best to go along with this and see how it pans out. Have you tried talking to her?   As for the others, sounds to me they were just like dinner/movie dates to see if they were compatible.

In the case of K and I we fell into bed straight away and I am very aware that she wishes she had not done so, but had held out for a more traditional approach.

I had a smartass comeback reply to the last bit of the sentence but had to restrain myself to prevent having to ban myself.   :)

Go on, spoil yourself!

:cheersty:

I was making a serious point - in any relationship and much more in a cross-cultural one "she" is going to need to assure herself that "he isn't only after my body"...

Had we but world enough and time,

This coyness, lady, were no crime.

We would sit down, and think which way

To walk, and pass our long love’s day.

Thou by the Indian Ganges’ side

Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide

Of Humber would complain. I would

Love you ten years before the flood,

And you should, if you please, refuse

Till the conversion of the Jews.

My vegetable love should grow

Vaster than empires and more slow;

An hundred years should go to praise

Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze;

Two hundred to adore each breast,

But thirty thousand to the rest;

An age at least to every part,

And the last age should show your heart.

For, lady, you deserve this state,

Nor would I love at lower rate.

       But at my back I always hear

Time’s wingèd chariot hurrying near;

And yonder all before us lie

Deserts of vast eternity.

Thy beauty shall no more be found;

Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound

My echoing song; then worms shall try

That long-preserved virginity,

And your quaint honour turn to dust,

And into ashes all my lust;

The grave’s a fine and private place,

But none, I think, do there embrace.

       Now therefore, while the youthful hue

Sits on thy skin like morning dew,

And while thy willing soul transpires

At every pore with instant fires,

Now let us sport us while we may,

And now, like amorous birds of prey,

Rather at once our time devour

Than languish in his slow-chapped power.

Let us roll all our strength and all

Our sweetness up into one ball,

And tear our pleasures with rough strife

Through the iron gates of life:

Thus, though we cannot make our sun

Stand still, yet we will make him run.

I've never had a problem with this, as long as the wife doesn't mind :)

The traditional gesture of respect for an elder, in which the younger person takes the right hand of the elder and touches it to their forehead.

I also do it with my fiancée's parents and grandparents when I first meet them after a long while. They just call it mano po. Perhaps a difference between Bisayan and Tagalog languages.
