What the World has been waiting for...

A £160 million pound fight, that could well see Pacquiao retire or Mayweather for that matter.

Yes it could be Manny's last fight, or they might extend it to 2-3 fights if there is a close decision. I expect Mayweather, a fast moving defensive specialist, to stay well away from Manny. He might win on points and it might not be all that close.

Rationale: Pacquio's 3 toughest opponents have been Erik Morales, Marc Antonio Barrrera and Juan Antonio Marquez. Manny has a loss and a draw to Marquez, and an earlier loss to Morales. Three hard fought wins over Barrera.

Marquez fought Manny almost even over 4 fights. When Marquez went into the ring with Mayweather in 2009, Floyd gave him a solid beating, winning 11/12 rounds on most scorecards. Mayweather was too quick and Marquez was never in the fight from Round 1.

Manny is 36. Quite a few fighters have gone well beyond that.  If he came out of the Mayweather fight unhurt, the next fight might be Marquez V...their 5th meeting. I hope he would not, but I am not sure.

Me too. A quick trip to the local hospital, a bandage, a few meds from Generics...I would say 2-3 RH's and a bottle of 4x4 to disinfect. A few Tanduay's to ease the pain.

You seem to know them quite well Jack.

May 2nd. Which is quite soon in boxing terms. Both fighters will need  the 8 weeks training.

My opinion is the Mayweather could stay outside, well away from Manny and win on points. I could see a draw. I can't se Manny winning on points, he could win on a KO or TKO, total longshot.

I'm also thinking a dullish fight with both fighters on the defensive.

A rough mental calculation on the pay for view plus the 200M purse would make this the biggest fight ever.
