My long held belief has now been vindicated.  Filipino women are far more loyal than Thai women.  Just read a survey report on Thaivisa of the top 10 most unfaithful wives.  No surprise Thailand top of the list, Philippines did not even make the list.

It was one of the first things I saw in Filipino women (some exceptions of course), they are veryI  loyal and focused on the care of their partner.  I know it has made me think differently about this relationship.  It has been rewarding.

From what I have seen this is true with a few exceptions as you said. Pick a quality lady from a good family chances are you will be a very happy man.

Here in the States we have seen several couples break up. Typical older guy hot young lady who was a party girl before she got here. The majority of local men married to Filipinas from a good background and less than 20 year age gap do OK here.

thanks Old55 vindicates the 'process' I followed, looked for educated, mature and sensible woman (14 years age gap), have never been

happier.  Even so, there are times when that east/west differences arise.  I am realising that often I put the wrong interpretation on some of the things she says.  She quickly puts me right though.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that basically I am at times a pain in the arse.

I think that most filipina are very serious about making their relationship work and be successful. There are however some that are immature, or the gold digger type. Most of the failures that I know of, usually involved bar girls or former bar girls. There are also the scammer types. But if you are here, you can sus that out pretty easily and quickly. Meeting the family is a huge factor in determining if that particular pinay is a suitable partner for you. 

 

As far as who is more unfaithful, men or women, I see a lot of mistresses over here and it seems that there are way more women than men here. The mistress is a part of their culture and most pinoy have one or are looked at differently by their cohorts.

Mate there's a lot of poverty here and among the lower classes there is not a lot of chance for escape. If you roam through malls around Manila, esp the higher level malls,Trinoma, Glorietta, you will see an amazing number of beautiful well dressed women who would not give people like us a second glace. Then roam through squatter areas, you will also see vast numbers of cute and sexy women, but less great beauties, Now why is that?

 

Anyone who has that level of looks combined with good height is going to use that to get out of poverty.

These poor girls become mistresses at the lower end of society. Mistresses or secondary wives to taxi drivers, tricyle and jeepney drivers, policemen etc...It's part of the culture, but it's also an economic necessity.  Large numbers of those girls will have children by there partner...who often abandons them.

Now look around the malls streets around Manila and QC. What do you see? You see girls roaming around like ants on a 5:1 or even 10:1 ratio over men.  Where are the men? Well working, maybe. And working as OFW, there are vast numbers of women OFW's but the men out number them.

 

Not by much they don't. There are only 11 male OFW's for every 10 women and there are regional variations too. In south Mindanao female OFW's outnumber male ones 2 to 1. I wouldn't be all that surprised that there seems to be more women than men in a shopping mall just as I wouldn't be all that surprised if there weren't that many women on a basketball court. In the younger age groups males always outnumber women everywhere due to their higher birth rates. The higher male death rate doesn't start to kick into overall numbers until past the age of 40. That's when women start to outnumber men for the first time. This idea that women outnumber men is a heterosexual male fantasy based around the principle of selective perception. There's actually more young men than young women. But heterosexual men just see the women.

Surveys and statistics are always skewed to make a point by the surveyor. 

It all comes down to knowing how to pick a wife. What values you want in a wife.

If you want a young submissive wife then you are in danger of a bad marriage.

I would never compare a Thai with a Filipina since I've only been to Thailand to visit my cousin. He is happily married to a Thai woman for over 10 years now. I'm on my 4th year of happiness with my Filipina.
