Popular Post jon1 Posted March 24, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2015 When did you decide to make the move to the Philippines and for what reason too, I came here for a job opportunity and a chance to get my life back in order (8 years ago). Since then I have accomplished those immediate goals. Was it a hard and how long before you realized it was the right thing to do, or the worst thing that you did , there must be some , For me it was not hard as I had zero happiness in the US and needed the fresh start. I quickly did the math and jumped on it. I had some ups and downs but nothing that couldn't be recovered from. Not counting the cost in getting there but the heartache it may have caused the people that you left in the country you was leaving, Yes there was some but everyone came to terms with it. Do you stay in touch with them or those say in touch with you, have you gone back for visits, do they come to see you too, Yes I stay in touch via phone and email. They have not visited here nor I them. Very dysfunctional. I think that I am the only one in my family that has a passport. And the last question, is it all that you thought it would be , better, worst or just ok It is in between all that I thought it would be and WAY better than being back in my home country. I enjoy the climate, lifestyle, food and have zero stress (unless I am out of beer). I do not regret the move as it has been a very positive experience in my life. I have way less health issues here than when I was back home and really enjoy life now. :cheersty:
