I'm looking at consultation work there.
You will need to check if you - beside work permit - will need to be APROVED as Consultant. In Phils they have such, but I haven't checked if there are any exceptions.

If I was in your career stage (and single) especially if able to eliminate all big expenses in your home country, I would accept the offer in a heartbeat.

 

I think this is key, if one can eliminate the big expenses in the home country especially if retirement benefits , tax shelter can be kept. The cost lliving difference in MNL is very significant, like you're able to keep more of your money or work less.
