Popular Post riburn3 Posted August 25, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2015 - Who managed to get a decent Doctor? One would look, search and ask without finding any? Now I know you're trolling. The Philippines is one of the largest healthcare exporters in the world with some of the only hospitals outside the US accredited by Joint Commission. Medical tourism is big business with Western trained physicians being very common. Even then, the medical schools in the Philippines are nothing to sneeze at, where some of the larger schools in bigger metros boast a large international student body. If you have stayed or been to any hospital in the West or middle east, odds are a Filipino has been your physician or nurse at some point during the stay. When my wifes grandmother had a stroke, we were able to pay a registered nurse to live with and take care of her fulltime. She also received home visits from her physician. This is basically impossible for any middle class family to do in a Western country and reserved only for the super wealthy. One of my least concerns about moving to the Philippines is quality of healthcare, and I myself am a provider that can speak with years of experience across multiple countries.
virginprune Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I cannot understand why a person who obviously hates where he lives, chooses to live here! All that hogwash about not having choices! Listen Mr Dolby, everything you decide in life is a personal choice, if you are in denial about that, then you have far more of a problem than your constant whining!
