Rather a sad topic how ever I regard as necessary and I need input.

Not so far from where we live there is a group of sick vicious dogs some which I suspect to be Rabid . Already several kids and us Have been attacked.

First went to Agriculture department and showed the pics. Although sympathetic nothing happened after repeated visits. So, I took the law into my hands and bought rat poison, gave them heavy doses in a sweet sticky bread, they thrived on it. Went to the agri shop explained problem and bought some super strong poison, to my amazement no effect, seems I am feeding them and still they try attack. Locals seem un bothered by this, it's the kids I want to protect.

Any input appreciated very much, these crazies seem to have a bullet proof gut.

I know this may sound silly, but did you contact one of the local vets and ask if they have a solution.

RBM Have you Notified the Veterinary Service, here in Dumaguete they will come out and Shoot them. The problem with Poison is that it gets into the food Chain of other Animals and you just never know what the end result may be.

No, the ag department said they would handle it but nothing came of it. Currently it's fiesta time and very difficult to get anybody anywhere to anything at best of times let alone fiesta time. For those whom live here they will understand the situation.

RBM, have you had a word with your Captain as he is now under new Region Rules Responsible for this they were told to get a Dog capture team up and Running, A phone call to the Mayor may do some good also. Fiesta or Not. as usual it will only get sorted otherwise when some one gets hurt or worse, then it will be lets blame every one else.

I am with you on this and can only say sorry that you are so far away from us here. Dumaguete seems to be on top of this sort of thing. someone somewhere has to take Responsibility at some time. IMHO

Jack :)

Not sure how it is where you live Jack but here I have never heard of anybody ever taking responsibility for anything ever. This is gods honest truth I assure, it's never my fault......

We have a similar problem over here and the same as RBM nobody really wants to know. I hope nobody gets attacked but if it has to happen maybe it can be to the person who should be dealing with it.

if anything like our barangay captain all the dog owners are told before the dog catchers arrive so no dogs to be seen in the road
