stevewool Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I have only been to the Phils for holidays the longest time around about a month, so it takes some getting use too, I am on about your body , going to the loo, I dont know about the rest of you but going to the loo is a break from the norm, a good book and a few minutes to yourself what could be better, its like having your own private library , But going to the Phils , well its more of a drive through , So do you ever get back into some sort of routine or you just get use to it, or you have no idea what i am on about because you never thought about it, Sorry if you are eating your meal when reading this , :mocking:
Forum Support Popular Post scott h Posted October 21, 2015 Forum Support Popular Post Posted October 21, 2015 No Steve, this a good topic. After all a man must have his priorities. His home is his castle, and we all know where the throne room is . After all, we learn from our Fathers don't we? On Sunday mornings when Dad walked purposefully through the house with the newspaper under his arm, all us kids knew we would not be seeing him for an hour or two. But going to the Phils , well its more of a drive through , After my first visits to my Mother in Laws house. Sweating bullets while taking care of business, I made a vow to my self. NOT IN MY HOUSE! My wife pretty much got her own way when we designed our house, EXCEPT for my throne room. Large, airy, window, well ventilated, tiled for coolness and a large counter for a strategically placed fan. I can't speak for all naturally, but with the exception of some of the very rich houses I have been do. Most working class homes, "comfort rooms" are anything but and seemed to be have been added almost as an after thought. :999: :cheersty:
Popular Post forget_it Posted October 21, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 21, 2015 I have two rooms in our home, where I can call myself king. My office and the CR, both on the third floor (a former apartment). It may be the driest CR in the Phils. There is no bucket or tabo and a sliding glass door is on the shower. No one ever goes in there, except me.

Thomas Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 My wife pretty much got her own way when we designed our house, EXCEPT for my throne room. I will demand having a western SEAT type of toilet, and - after the second loo is built - I will only let them use "mine" if they know they don't squat with their feet at the SEAT. (But it's ok if they squat if they put up the seat first.)But I prefer relaxing in a bathtub than at the loo, so I plan to have a bathtub too. Plus I will have an office room (and perhaps a hobby room) where I decide. Almost all the rest I suppouse the wife will decide - as long as it don't cost to much :mocking:

Thomas Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Thomas that got me thinking about relaxing , now i am wanting a loo with a view, Out or in? :mocking: I aim at having good view from my working places (=office plus I will work much from a sunchair at veranda. At least I will say I will work much at the veranda. Luckily much of my work is thinking, so it can be hard for the wife to know if I work concentrated or sleep
Larry45 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Wife knows most of my visits to the CR take only about 30 seconds, and are usually 'emergency' in nature. So if I'm in there more than a few minutes she might think there is 'foul play' involved.
Jake Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 How Long Before Your Body Settles Down? As soon as I drop a load or two, then I'm good to go. I don't fart around......well, I do with two perfectly pitched musical notes of F sharp and F flat.....he, he. The toilet bowl is a great resonator, don't you know.
Tukaram (Tim) Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 As for my body 'settling down' I never really had a problem. I traveled for years and rarely got sick... until I went back to US for a month, lat year, for a visit. I was sick for 3 weeks ha ha If you mean just the 'comfort' portion of the comfort room... I insisted on an American sized toilet so no crazy squat for me. I am in and out in a couple minutes, max. I never understood camping/reading in there.
