Popular Post sonjack2847 Posted October 23, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2015 On Wednesday 21st I went to Dumaguete on Negros. It was to meet some forum members and get some of the foods that are not available here in Dalaguete. Well I left with plenty of time to get the 10am fastcraft but it was not to be.I was waiting on the national highway here in Dalaguete for the Ceres bus and could see one at the north end of town behind a procession still plenty of time even allowing for the procession to pass. Well that procession passed and I could still see the bus but it didn`t seem to be moving. What I couldn`t see was the second procession of 3-4 year old school children as there is a dip in the highway and they are small. So that bus passes them but would not stop for me uh. So then a Sunrays bus is coming and I get on then he tells me that they don`t go to the fastcraft so I get off after 100 yards.Still if a bus was coming soon I could still get the 10am fastcraft Ah one is coming still have time. I geton and he is driving fast so will still be on time until we get to Oslob and a supervisor stops the bus and talks for 10 minutes. Well we start off again and yes we are 5 minutes late for the 10am. Ok I will get the 11am fastcraft not too big a problem. I decide to eat in the terminal building before I go so as to save some time in Dumaguete. I had rice and some Kaldereta with an orange drink the Kaldereta was so salty it was uneatable so I ended up eating the rice only.I got on the 11 am and ended up in Dumaguete at 1130 so all is well. I go to lee Plaza and buy cheese and some other things then I went to the shop selling UK goods and .... it is closed damn so I go to another shop and buy some US beef. Then I made my way to Why not to meet up with some people. We had a good talk and I think we had a good time.At 445pm I get on the bus for the fastcraft back to dalaguete and guess what yes the damned thing left 2 minutes early and I missed it so had to wait an hour for the next one I used to like to travel haha but that was a bad travel day for me. Anyway mission accomplished and I will be going back over around the 11th of November and maybe the UK shop will be open.

Jake Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Hey Kevin, Please tell us more about that fastcat. Looks like the channel crossing is about 12km or so. How long does it take and how much, if you don't mind me asking? Edited October 23, 2015 by Jake
Dave Hounddriver Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Looks like the channel crossing is about 12km or so Google earth map shows it to be only 6 and 1/2 km across. Doesn't even look that far :tiphat:
