I am hoping I am as lucky, all going well so far and my first trip planned in Feb/Mar 2016 A young Filipina girl would not like to be separated from her family too long. So if you go to meet them, be as generous as possible in the area of food and drinks, rather than cash which they might tend to abuse. You might get asked for a small loan and if the relationship is going really well you give it. Pull it back to reality later. But the clinch the relationship with the girl, be kind to her family.

I had already brought the subject up with her about money as I had a previous experience in Thailand, I was told that I do not need to give, which I am hoping is a good sign, but it won't stop me from taking the proper care in that regards, thanks for your advice as this is a pretty new world to me about the Philippines.
Popular Post BluesDude Posted December 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2015 I met my wife about 30 years ago while stationed in the Philippines. She was a waitress at a little place where I ate breakfast. The food was only okay but I didn't keep going back for the food. We dated and eventually moved in together. I hadn't planned on getting married and to be honest, I was not always the best boyfriend. I was young and still sowing my wild oats as they say. After a few years, I was sent back to the states to attend school. While I was at school she wrote me everyday. She was on my mind constantly and I was not in the least bit interested in dating anyone. It was kind of weird for me to come to the realization that I really loved her. I knew I could spend the rest of my life as a bachelor but I'd never find anyone as devoted and loving as the girl I already had. Soon after returning back to the Philippines, I asked her to marry me. We've been together ever since, raised two great kids, worked here in the States, and are soon to retire. Still together after all these years and she's still the same sweet girl I married long ago.
