The state pension here relative to average earnings is the third lowest out of the 34 countries signed up to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, with pensioners in only Mexico and Chile getting a worse deal. Those in the UK who rely solely on the state pension receive just 38 per cent of average wages, compared with an average of 63 per cent across the 34 countries, which are described as developed or emerging nations. Jack Peterson Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 On basic Pensions maybe but there are many that are on Final salary pensions that are never included in these Surveys which can tend to give a somewhat Shaded report. I think that it would be a struggle in the Phils as well as in the UK. Add in the fact that your pension would be frozen, no annual increases, if you lived in the Phils will make it even worse in the future. I think that it would be a struggle in the Phils as well as in the UK. Add in the fact that your pension would be frozen, no annual increases, if you lived in the Phils will make it even worse in the future.
