Waging War On Black Ants

I just moved into a townhouse in Angeles and I'm fighting a neverending battle with black ants. I have sprayed down the door jambs, window sills, the back porch and the underside of the kitchen cabinets with ant spray. But, a day or two later, I'll find a few in the kitchen or bathroom again.

Does anyone have a tried and true method of getting rid of them?

Anything you do will only last a few days it is unfortunately a never ending battle I can get rid of them for a day or two but they always come back.

If you can find products that contain borax (boric acid), that will kills the nests.  Unfortunately, they are hard to find here.

E.g.

http://www.amazon.com/Boric-Acid-Roach-Ant-Killer/dp/B0016J1MZG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1454025260&sr=8-5&keywords=ant+killer+powder

Or you might try this idea:

If you live next door to somebody who doesn`t care about ants you can kill the ants but the next door people will attract new ones never ending battle I`m afraid.

When it comes to ants I think the battle is already lost. I kept a clean house but the ants weren't just after food, although they will take it if they can find it, they want a water supply too. I used ant chalk outlining where my trash goes and under countertops and occasionally sprayed dilute bleach when I had a massive invasion but the thing that slowed them down the most was moth balls by the front and back doors and on window sills. I believe they communicate with pheromones and the mothballs outgassing screws that up, as does bleaching their trails. Good luck.

Boric acid dont work on our army of ants.. The thousands of Queens are an airforce division.. They lay their eggs on the underside of all our trees leaves..When they hatch they come down from the trees and join forces with a one track mind....My house!

Ive murdered millions of them..Problem is there are billions!

Best thing I found was boric acid. It is not used as a cleaner here - you have to get it at a well stocked hardware store. They use it as welding flux

I didn't know about the use for welding.  Can you tell me exactly what I should ask for?  Just "boric acid for welding"?

No dont confuse them! Just ask for Boric acid...If they dont know what it is they will just say "Out of stock".

Big bottles of it in our major hardware labelled "Boric acid".

Do you know what kind of ant it is?  It sounds like it might be termites.
