Jack Peterson Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 :1 (103): Here we go again, More Crap from the UK Bureaucrats but on this, I tend to think were are covered on the SS Agreement that has been in Force for many, many years. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/expat/12151896/Expats-are-being-frozen-out-on-Europe.html We should have never gone into Europe but Staying out of the Euro Zone and the Schengen Agreement may have saved the day.
Kuya John Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Jack, I think it's right to say that most UK expats living abroad would be of retirement age. Therefore their biggest concerns I think would be Medical cover within the Euro Zone. Their pensions might be frozen at whatever the current rate is, which would also affect their cost of living in the longer term to remain in the country of their choice. Yes JB In the Euro zone but as I said earlier, the Agreement negates this, We are not subject to Frozen Pensions here in the PI.
