Richieboy67 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Hey all, Can anyone in the Tanauan, Batangas area recommend a shipping facility and go over some pricing and shipping times? If all goes well we will be flying to the USA in March. We want to ship one large box full of stuff that we cannot carry on the plane. I'm guessing about 75 lbs or more. Thanks! Rich Just curious, did you look into the air freight option? I mean overages on luggage at the airport are expensive but buying a higher weight allowance is not as bad sometimes, when you do it ahead of time.
Gas Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 The business next door to us, regularly ships too and from the States using Ilocandia Express Cargo. Just had googled the company name and they don't seem to have a business address in the Philippines. Cant ask our neighbour because they are our competition! http://www.manta.com/c/mmchmfk/ilocandia-express-cargo-inc We are in Laguna and not far from Tanuan.
Richieboy67 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks, Will check that out. Air freight is not an option because we will be taking a bus to Manila. It will be nearly impossible to carry all of our luggage plus a huge box.

Jack Peterson Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I know this may sound Crazy But have you tried one of the Front line guys, DHL, UPS etc they can do pick up and deliver, Expensive maybe But Sure delivery. If the stuff is worth it then to me, the cost is irrespective. if it is not important and can be replaced why Bother? Have a good Ole Garage sale. :)

An extra 10 kilos cost me 500 php from Dumaguete to manila in late 2012. Purchased ahead of time.

Traveling by myself with two 40 pound bags and 20 lbs in a backpack. Bus is cheaper but how much is a cab ride? I didn't absolutely need one but it would have been smart if I could get a porter but I didn't look. Are there no porters at Naia? Well, good luck whatever you do.
Richieboy67 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) We will already have 2 bags each that are about 50lbs each plus carry on. On top of that my wife is 6 months pregnant. I'm hoping to bring our big box to a shipper a couple days before we leave if possible. Edited February 28, 2016 by Richieboy67
